Mark Wellington, Area Manager

Where do you live? I live in Kennington.

Tell us something about your career? I have worked in the lettings business for 15 years. Previously with a corporate serviced apartment provider and then joined Benham & Reeves in 2003 as Manager of City office and then now also manage Canary Wharf office after we opened it in 2009. I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I found flats for Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd when they were in London filming - that was a pleasure!

Jeffrey Boateng, Senior Lettings Negotiator

What do you like most about Canary Wharf as an area? The properties are high specification and offer a lot of convenience for those who also work here as they are served by really good local transport connections and amenities. There is a buzz here day and night which really appeals to our tenants.

What key skills do you bring to your role? I have worked in the property industry for over 5 years and linking people with the right property is my passion. I like to go above and beyond for clients and deliver a great customer experience so its more than just a job for me.

What are your passions outside work? I love playing and watching various sports and supporting the young community where I live, helping with musical events and other social programmes.

Jammie Li, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? I'm on the East side of the city.

What do you like most about the Canary Wharf area? I really like the atmosphere, the diverse range of restaurants and shops and the stunning views of all the gleaming buildings dotted along the Thames. It's a lively area that perfectly blends business with leisure.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? I have been working in property for a while now with experience gained working for a City based property investment consultancy. I really enjoy working in the rental market, especially negotiating leases and developing good client relationships.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? After work, I enjoy reading, exploring new cuisines and spending time with my family and friends. To relax, I often take long walks in the park and enjoy keeping fit.

Rosie Dimitrova, Lettings Administration Manager

Where do you live? I've lived in Essex for 12 years.

How long have you worked for Benham and Reeves? I joined the company in 2005 and I enjoy my work as Administrator. I am a member of ARLA Propertymark with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. It's crazy busy here but I do love it!

And an interesting fact about yourself? I love travelling and am fluent in three languages which comes in very handy with international landlords and tenants.

Deimante Nacyte, Assistant Manager

Where do you live? South East London

What do you like most about the properties in the City area? How bright and flawless the properties are. I love that each property brags its own view of the city.

Tell me something about your career? I have a degree in sociology and working in the property sector enables me to combine all my interests and meet some very interesting people from all walks of life.

What are your passions outside of work? I love reading and exercising. I am also a vegetarian so I love browsing through internet/books for recipes.

Amelia Wright, Junior Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? In South East London.

What do you like most about the City & Surrey Quays area? Working in both areas enables me to experience two distinct areas of London. The City has an energy that is fully active and the architecture is majestic and historic. Surrey Quays has its own unique qualities, the River Thames is a real draw and it has a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere with a lot of modern accommodation like Marine Wharf where our branch is based. I really enjoy the contrast.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? I am quite new to a career in the property industry and am learning new things every day. I enjoy a dynamic environment where no day is the same and it’s a joy to help people find their ideal rental home.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? Travelling is my favourite pastime. I enjoy exploring new cultures and discovering different parts of the world. To relax, I love experimenting with new recipes and cooking delicious meals which makes me popular!

Raj Miah, Branch Manager

Where do you live? I’ve lived in North West London all my life so I know it well. I love the fact that I am well situated to reach everywhere; from Wembley to the West End and anywhere in between.

What do you like most about working in Colindale as an area? I have been working in Colindale for over 8 years so it has been amazing to be part of its redevelopment and growing popularity. It has a really diverse community and is still only 30 minutes away from the centre of London so has a lot of plus points.

Tell us a bit about your career and your key skills I joined Benham and Reeves in 2013 in an assistant role, working my way up to negotiator and senior negotiator until my current role of Branch Manager here at Beaufort Park. Having experienced the journey through these various roles, it has given me a greater understanding of what it takes for a team to run smoothly and how best to provide a great service experience to the public.

What are your passions outside work? Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family as well as discovering new places and I love to travel and see the world.

Rahim Velji, Lettings Negotiator

Where in London do you live? I live in the City of London close to the Barbican.

What do you like most about working in Colindale as an area? Colindale is showing signs of real growth as new property developments arrive. The area has a vibrant community with good cafes and local amenities including Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Colindale underground station which offers direct access to central London within 20 minutes.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? I spent three years working for a property company in the UAE before joining Benham and Reeves. I have a strong background in property negotiation and experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds which I feel is helpful for my role here.

What are your passions outside work? I enjoy cooking and travelling. I have travelled extensively in South East and Central Asia where I enjoyed learning to speak Japanese.

Sylvie Leslie, Lettings Coordinator

Where do you live? I live in Willesden Green.

How long have you worked in property? I've worked in property since 2007, initially as an Administrator for an estate agency and then moving to a large lettings company.

What has been the highlight of your career so far? I did voluntary work in Jamaica for nearly three years. That was an amazing experience.

Anne Benjamin, Lettings Coordinator

Where in London would you like to live? I'm pretty happy in North West London, there's always a lot going on.

What do you like most about working in Colindale as an area? Colindale is rapidly evolving with lots of new property developments arriving and there are good transport links.

How long have you worked in property? I have worked in lettings for over 10 years. My knowledge and experience allow me to provide reliable support to the team at Beaufort Park.

What are your passions outside work? I have been practising Tai Chi for over 2 years now and I have just started Yoga. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Ivan Hrissimov, Branch Manager

Where do you live? I've lived in Enfield for five years.

How long have you worked for Benham and Reeves? I joined the company in 2007, starting as a negotiator, moving onto Senior Negotiator and now Branch Manager. I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

Nick Hubbard, Branch Manager

Where do you live? I've lived in Ealing all my life.

Tell us about your career? I've worked in lettings since I was 19 and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. I've been with Benham and Reeves since 2006 and was previously Manager of the Knightsbridge office. Before that I was a Negotiator at the Kensington office.

Tell us something interesting about yourself? I once spent a year travelling around SE Asia, Australasia, the USA and Mexico where I met some very interesting people and learnt a lot about different cultures, it was a great life experience.

Samuel Collins, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? I’m currently living in West London but I grew up in Berkshire and lived in Rotterdam during my University studies which was a great experience.

What do you like most about Ealing and surrounding area? I’ve worked in Ealing for a number of years and what I like most is how much greenery there is to enjoy. Sometimes it’s easy to forget you’re even living in London! It is a great place to both live and work, and I look forward to spending many more years here.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? I have been working in estate agency for over 5 years, it was my first job since coming back to England after my University education. I like to think of myself as a ‘Jack of all Trades’ because I’ve worked in lettings, sales, new homes and auction - all of which has broadened my knowledge of the industry, helping me develop good negotiator skills that achieve the best possible outcomes.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I love all kinds of sport. I have watched and played football my entire life, and I also enjoy boxing, MMA, rugby and athletics. If the weather is nice, you will find me enjoying my weekends with friends in a beer garden watching the footy!

Glen joined Benham and Reeves initially becoming the top negotiator in the company, then swiftly moving on to become Area Manager for West London before becoming a board Director.

Wesley Ramsay, Branch Manager

Where do you live? Wimbledon.

Tell me something about your career? I have been in the property industry since 2016 and have a real passion for London real estate. I have since gained an ARLA Propertymark qualification to build my knowledge and success in my career and really enjoy working with local landlords and tenants.

What is your favourite local Hammersmith bar or café? The Blue Boat in Hammersmith is my favourite pub as it has a great atmosphere at the weekend.

What are your passions outside of work? I am very passionate about sport, especially rugby so I spend my free time watching rugby games with my friends.

Roland Howell, Senior Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? I currently live in Putney, very near to Fulham via the bridge.

What do you like most about the Fulham and surrounding area? I enjoy the many choices of open space as we have an abundance of parks where I enjoy taking my dog for walks. There are lots of niche restaurants offering diverse world cuisines and the area is well served by lots of good leisure facilities. The architecture is a mix of old and new which makes for an interesting landscape.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? My career started in Putney, I was the top performing negotiator at a 4 branch agency for 18 months. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and helping them to find a comfortable home is a role I really take pleasure in.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I enjoy walking my dogs and am a fan of Boston terriers and French bulldogs. I get a buzz out of exercising outdoors and at the gym and I like to explore fresh food, so can often be found at a nearby Farmers Market on the weekend.

Where in London do you live? I live in North West London.

What do you like most about working in Fulham? I love the riverside location, the local parks and the bustling cafes and restaurants. There is a great mix of properties too - from smart, modern developments to beautiful Victorian properties.

Tell me something about your key skills: Having worked in the property industry for several years, I have good communication skills and enjoy meeting clients. I am also methodical and well organised - essential skills for this busy and varied role.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? I love travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Iveta Visnyeiova, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? I currently live in West London.

What do you like most about the Hammersmith area? I really enjoy the energy here, and transport connectivity is excellent. We’re also near the River Thames which is peaceful and provides lovely walks. There is a good choice of property to rent from high quality new-build developments with great facilities to characterful Georgian terraces and Victorian conversions. The area is supported by every imaginable amenity and simply has it all!

Tell me a little about your property career experience? I spent some time as a professional gaming inspector in a leading London casino, but property has always been a passion of mine, so I decided to change career path and entered the lettings sector. Building a rapport with tenants and landlords is important to me so I have good social skills and always strive to exceed expectations.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I enjoy upcycling furniture, renovation, interior design, art and sculpture. In my spare time you will find me attending exhibitions as well as playing tennis, doing yoga, horse riding and competitive air sports.

Ahmed Salim, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? West London.

What do you like most about the Hammersmith and surrounding area? There is strong community here with diverse cultures enjoying an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants and enjoyable riverside views. With great transport links across the Capital, it’s a great place to live and work.

Tell me a little about your property career, any qualifications & experience? I started my career working in hospitality and the residential housing sector where I did a stint in property management so along the way, I have developed many transferable skills that serve me well now. I am also fluent in Arabic, which enables me to serve a broader range of landlords and tenants.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I really enjoy football and travelling, both of which help me unwind and refreshes my perspective on life.

Erina Mori, Property Manager, Japan Desk

What do you like most about working on the Japan Desk? As a specialist dealing with housing executives in high-end properties, I enjoy being part of such a dynamic, fast-paced industry. I also enjoy helping people.

What skills do you bring to your role? I used to work at a real estate agency in Tokyo as a lettings consultant, then I spent four years working in property management. I gained a lot of hands-on experience in both roles and solved many maintenance issues along the way, so I can empathise with tenants needs whilst maintaining the service expectations of our landlords. As I have lived in London a while now, I draw on my own experiences of living here to help our Japanese tenants settle in.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? I love travelling and enjoy playing badminton with my friends. I have been playing badminton since I was a child and even won a championship in Tokyo. It’s a great way to keep fit.

Daniel Chang, HR Operations Manager

Where in London do you live? North East London which is really convenient for getting into the city quickly.

Tell me something about your career Since completing an MSc in HR and organisational analysis from Kings College London followed by a career in property management and lettings, I have gained invaluable experience skills that fits well with my role now.

What skills do you bring to your role? I’m organised with a keen eye for detail and am flexible in my approach which helps with the demands of my role. My day to day responsibilities include oversight of our HR initiatves, making sure they are cost effective and implementing new company policies, programmes and processes.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? I enjoy exploring London taking in the culture and beautiful architecture, it’s a great city to live and work in.

Cora Wong, Operations Coordinator

Where in London do you live? I live in North-West London which has many convenient transport connections into Central London.

Tell me something about your career I used to be a Pricing Analyst with a cloud-based network in the Asia Pacific region before joining Benhams and Reeves. I love working in London and have strong transferable skills which help me in my current role. I am native in Cantonese and fluent in Mandarin and English too.

What skills do you bring to your role? I have good attention to detail and am a fast learner. I’m also good at problem solving.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? Travelling to different countries is one of my passions. I still have lots of exploring to do in the UK as there are many great cities and towns to here on my doorstep.

Jesanne Le May, Executive Assistant to Marc von Grundherr

Where do you currently live? In West London.

What do you like most about working in the Hammersmith area? The area has a tangible community spirit which is very welcoming and its family-friendly too. I’ve grew up in the area and I like the architecture, the general vibe and the parks, these are what make Hammersmith a great place to live and work.

Tell me a little about your career so far and what your key skills are? Having previously worked as a sales and lettings negotiator, I’m knowledgeable in most aspects of residential property and take time to understand the market and what makes it tick. My key skills are administrative and organisational and I’m a good juggler of projects which really helps facilitate my executive assistant role.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I enjoy reading and spending time with my Grandfather who provides a good source of historical knowledge about London. I also like yoga and walking to keep fit.

Celia Owen, Business Development Manager

Where is your favourite part of London? I am particularly drawn to the handsome red-brick splendour of Kensington. Its’ streets, parks and monuments speak to me of the massive cultural influence that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert had on the evolution of our great city.

Tell us a little about your career? My background career working as a trained veterinary nurse had me involved in pioneering work that has given me an analytical, yet empathetic outlook when dealing with tasks and challenges. I’m highly organised and enjoy working with people so the property sector is a good fit for me now.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? Dance and theatre have been ongoing passions, although my busy schedule doesn’t leave as much time for them as I would like.

What do you like to do to relax? I am an avid food grower and at my happiest when preparing and preserving fruit and vegetables in the form of jam and chutneys. I bake every week and like to experiment with the wide range of artisan ingredients that are available in London.

David Owen, Business Development Executive

Where is your favourite part of London? I am enchanted by the history and architecture of Fleet Street as you can see elements of both Westminster and the City in the way the buildings are laid out. You can really get a sense of how London grew and prospered by exploring the various lanes and thoroughfares that crisscross the district.

Tell us a little about your career? I started my career playing rugby before transitioning into sales and customer service work.  Looking for a career change, I became involved in business development with a view to expanding into property management and real estate.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? It’s been seven years since I became be a fully-fledged convert to the vegan lifestyle and diet. I have not regretted my decision for one second!

What do you like to do to relax? I enjoy the great outdoors and take every opportunity to go hiking or running. For days when I can’t get out into the fresh air, I like nothing better than to get down to my local gym for a good workout.

Cynthia Jones, Business Development Executive

Where is your favourite part of London? I find the parliament buildings around Westminster particularly inspiring with their imposing architecture and period charm. There is a strong sense of history and permanence on almost every street corner.

Tell us a little about your career? Prior to working in the Civil Service, I was a Personal Assistant at Allied Dunbar for a financial consultant who specialised in mortgage, pensions and inheritance tax, so it’s a good fit for me now working in property.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I am a strong advocate for animal welfare and keenly support campaigns that seek to improve the quality of life for our pets. I am also involved in the more hands-on role of reuniting lost pets with their owners.

What do you like to do to relax? I love to take long walks with my dogs and also help with the walking of dogs for owners, unable to get out or who need respite.

Dele Lawal, Branch Manager

Where in London do you live? North London at the moment.

What do you like most about working in Hampstead as an area? Properties in Hampstead have a wealth of character and a distinctive charm, unlike anywhere else in London. I enjoy the quaint village lifestyle, while being so close to central London.

Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? Although I graduated from University as an Aerospace Engineer, I discovered my true calling when I did a stint as a Property Negotiator during my gap year. Since then I have gained good career experience working in the residential lettings sector for several years where I have developed a good understanding of the property sector and how it ticks.

What are your passions outside work? I am passionate about travel, health and fitness. I enjoy playing football and am a proud Manchester United fan!

Billy Ellis, Junior Lettings Negotiator

Where do you currently live? I’m living in Temple, which is in Tube zone 1.

What do you like most about the Hampstead and surrounding areas? I liken Hampstead to a snow-globe as it has lots of charm combined with every modern convenience, all in one area. It’s very unique plus the Heath and the swimming ponds make it extra special. Other nearby areas such as West Hampstead and Golders Green are also very nice. There is a nice mix of old and new homes to suit most budgets.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? Following my graduation in Real Estate and Property Management I joined a UK developer gaining invaluable experience in new homes sales and land acquisition. I’m a good communicator and quite sociable, so being a negotiator suits me and I enjoy a public facing role.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? Near where I live, there are so many different activities I can take part in such as dining out, enjoying live music and playing Padel which is perfect for keeping me fit, I also enjoy watching football.

Georgia Bell, Compliance Officer

What does your day to day? My role entails monitoring and mitigating compliance risk by ensuring we observe appropriate regulatory and legal requirements in all aspects of our business.

What are your key skills and what do you like most about your role? I find that an organised approach and a forensic attention to detail are vital attributes in my job. It’s not uncommon for me to reinvestigate a document that has already been double or triple checked! My work also overlaps with many other parts of the company, so I get to work collaborate with other employees which I really enjoy.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes is a weekly passion. I also take plenty of opportunities to travel.

Shay Begum, Executive Assistant to Anita Mehra

Where do you live? I live in North London where the Victorian architecture is so beautiful.

What do you like most about working in property? London has a rich history and I feel this is really reflected in the properties it has to offer. There are so many different types of property too which you don't get in all parts of the world. I love the cobbled streets and mews that can be found in the backwaters of London.

What is your favourite local cafe or bar? I love my cocktails, Alice House in West Hampstead is a hidden gem. The cocktails are amazing and staff are super friendly.

What are your passions outside work? Keeping fit and healthy is very important to me and I love cooking, particularly experimenting with different recipes.

Silvana Cambanella, Lettings Administrator

Where do you live? I was born and raised in North London.

What do you like most about working in the Highgate & Knightsbridge areas? Both areas are upmarket and offer a lovely mix of period and modern architecture and although Knightsbridge is in central London, it enjoys similarities with Highgate, such as pretty open spaces, amenities and good schools. Both areas are also very family friendly.

Tell me something about your career? My career has previously had more of a marketing focus but I have broader property market experience working as a negotiator and an administrator, both of which help me in my role now.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I am a passionate football supporter and also have a keen interest in the arts, especially the ballet.

Di Gong, Branch Manager

Describe yourself in three words: Patient, energetic, technological.

What do you like to do at the weekend? I love gadgets so I'll probably be playing with some of my favourites. I also love travelling, especially discovering new places. I like to cook and play football. I like variety.

If you could live anywhere in London, where would it be? I really like mansion blocks and period conversions so I would pick St Johns Wood or Hampstead as these are more villagey locations.

Daniel Hanak, Lettings Negotiator

Where do you live? I’m currently living in North West London.

What do you like most about working in the W2 area? I like how bustling it is, and there is always something lovely to look at from handsome Georgian and Victorian houses to slick high-rise new-build apartment buildings that stand out on the London skyline.

Tell me something about your career? I spent some time in commercial buying for one of the big four supermarkets but property has always been a passion so I decided to change career and I become a Lettings Negotiator. I really enjoy meeting people and working in such a reactive sector where things change daily.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I am especially passionate about classical civilisation and the arts, so in my spare time you will find me going to exhibitions and the amazing museums London has to offer, as well as playing football and keeping myself fit and healthy.

Joanna Korbecka, Lettings Administrator

Where do you currently live? In North West London.

What do you like most about the West End area? During sunny days it’s great to sit in Hyde Park and people-watch or just take a walk in such a beautifully maintained Royal park. I also fine the architecture in Mayfair captivating, so I do take time to look upwards to enjoy all the different period styles that exist side by side here.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? I have worked as a property administrator in sales and lettings for several years. I thrive in a busy environment where there is a lot to organise, so making sure that homes are ready for new occupancy is always a priority for me.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I have a real passion for travel and exploring new places, cultures and food. When at home though, I enjoy musical theatre and putting my feet up with a good book.

Rubel Rouf, Lettings Manager

Where do you currently live? I’m currently living in Battersea, moments from the park.

What do you like most about working in the Kensington area? Like most people who love living in the area, I particularly appreciate the architecture where Georgian villas and Victorian townhouses sit alongside striking mansion blocks and quaint mews. There are also some elegant new-builds and the area is well supported by every conceivable amenity, so it continues to retain its elite status as one of the best addresses in London.

Tell me a little about your property career and interest in it I've worked in the property industry for other top agents for 15 years managing the letting of prime properties in St John's Wood and Hampstead and central London. Every day is different and I really enjoy helping tenants discover the best of what the area has to offer and provide a great service to everyone.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I like keeping fit and have recently taken up running. I'm also into hiking and currently planning my next adventure.

Where do you currently live? Maida Vale, West London.

What do you like most about Kensington and surrounding areas? From stunning new property developments which sit side by side with period town houses, Kensington has it all. It is surprisingly tranquil for such a popular part of central London and has a strong community, a real mix of all cultures and generations.

Where do you currently live? I’m enjoying living in West London at the moment, there is always lots to do and see here.

What do you like most about the Kew area? As an area, Kew is so much more than just the Botanical Gardens it’s most known for. There is a strong community here and lots of different kinds of properties. There are also some lovely restaurants and cafes here and in Brentford too, which has undergone a lot of transformation in the past 5 years.

What do you like most about the Kew & Brentford areas? I’ve spent a lot of time in both of these areas growing up, and have always loved The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, which is beautifully maintained and especially great if you are a nature lover.

What do you like most about Kew & Brentford areas? I really like how the old meets the new, where historic buildings sit next to modern ones. It’s a pretty setting, with Kew right by the River; very family friendly with lots of restaurants and independent cafes that provide a welcoming feeling when you set foot inside them.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? I’m quite new to the property sector and am fortunate to be working with experienced colleagues who are helping me further my knowledge, interest and experience in the field. I really enjoy working with people and the negotiating role.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? Keeping fit is important to me and I do like to go to the gym after work. I’m quite sociable so my weekends are usually full of activities and meeting up with friends. I also like to travel when I can.

Where do you live? I was born in the UK and raised in England and the US. I have  lived in Chelsea for several years.

Tell us about your career? Over the past 25 years, I've been involved in the buying, selling and renting of residential properties and marketing of commercial premises internationally. Earlier in my career, I worked for the NHS, helping to secure hospital re-development funding, and also helped to launch The London Aquarium. I have been with Benham and Reeves since 2009 and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And something interesting about yourself? In 1990 I was named a 'Woman of Tomorrow' finalist by Cosmopolitan Magazine UK and in 1997 was nominated as a 'Woman to Watch' for my role in delivering the £150m London Aquarium. I really enjoy working in property too.

Where do you live? I've lived in Fulham for 25 years.

How long have you worked in property? I worked for a Mayfair estate agency for four and a half years and joined Benham and Reeves in 2011 as a Lettings Administrator at the Hampstead branch then I moved in 2012 to the Highgate branch. I am now a member of ARLA Propertymark.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I speak Arabic which is handy sometimes because there are a lot of buy-to-let investors who appreciate it when I can talk to them in their own language.

Where do you live? I was born and raised in North London.

What do you like most about working in the Highgate & Knightsbridge areas? Both areas are upmarket and offer a lovely mix of period and modern architecture and although Knightsbridge is in central London, it enjoys similarities with Highgate, such as pretty open spaces, amenities and good schools. Both areas are also very family friendly.

Tell me something about your career? My career has previously had more of a marketing focus but I have broader property market experience working as a negotiator and an administrator, both of which help me in my role now.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I am a passionate football supporter and also have a keen interest in the arts, especially the ballet.

Yoshi Tsuji, Associate Director

Tell me something about your career After several years working in recruitment in Tokyo, I moved to the UK in 2001 to study for a Masters degree.  After graduating, I began my career in the property industry, becoming a lettings negotiator for a Japanese-owned agency.  I progressed with the firm, working in central London and eventually managing six branches.

What skills do you bring to your role? I have extensive experience of the corporate lettings market in London, in particular working with Japanese corporate clients.   I am also a member of ARLA Propertymark.  This expertise is invaluable in my role heading up the Japan desk at Benham and Reeves where we have a dedicated corporate services department.

What do you enjoy doing outside work? I love running in Richmond Park and usually try and do a 12k run at the weekend.

Kaiju Matsuda, Lettings Consultant

Where in London do you live? I’m currently living in the Willesden area.

What skills do you bring to your role? I used to teach English at a school in Japan and Japanese to foreign students, so I gained good customer-facing experience and sharpened my linguistic skills. With communication and negotiating proficiency, my main role is to provide Japanese tenants and our global landlords with the best mutual housing contract that suits both parties. I have developed good working relationships with many companies, mostly curated through my own network. My instincts help me to meet the needs of our Japanese corporate tenants who I enjoy helping. It is most important to me that I give 100 percent to everyone.

What do you like to do outside work? You will find me in a London pub watching the Premier League matches over a glass of beer and I like to play football when I have time. I also enjoy travelling and have visited 20 countries, mainly in Asia and Europe.

Which part of London do you live in? I am living near Paddington which is very handy for getting in and out of central London.

What do you like most about helping on the Japan Desk and working with properties? I am fluent in English and Japanese so I can communicate with Japanese tenants clearly which our tenants value. What do you like most about working on the Japan Desk? I am motivated by being able to help people with such an essential part of their lives. Tell me something about your career, what experience do you have? I graduated from University with a bachelor's degree in Global Japanese Studies and worked as a co-ordinator at a design company in Osaka. What do you like most about Southall? There is a tangible sense of community here with lots of cultural events frequently taking place and lots of great food too. The transport links are excellent with the Southall Elizabeth line now part of daily life. You can get to Heathrow or central London in double quick time so it’s really convenient here.

Tell me a little about your property career and experience I have several years’ property experience working in short term lets, student accommodation, Buy-to-Rent and the private rental sector. I’m a negotiator at heart and quite sociable too, so being around people all day is perfect for me.

Which is your favourite part of London? I really like Greenwich as it is steeped in so much history and has lots to explore including Greenwich Market for some of the tastiest foods from all over the world plus Greenwich Park and the Observatory which are well worth a visit.

I previously worked as a travel agent for 10 years, enjoying travelling and discovering architecture along the way which ignited my interest in real estate. What do you like most about the City & Surrey Quays area? Working in both areas enables me to experience two distinct areas of London. The City has an energy that is fully active and the architecture is majestic and historic. Surrey Quays has its own unique qualities, the River Thames is a real draw and it has a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere with a lot of modern accommodation like Marine Wharf where our branch is based. What do you like most about the Wembley and surrounding areas? Wembley has been transformed by thoughtful regeneration and has everything you need for modern living. This is complemented by Grand Union in Alperton which is set in acres of beautiful surroundings making it a lovely place to live and walk. Shopping nearby is great with designer shops, restaurants plus Asian supermarkets too, which is very handy for the diverse community here.

Tell me a little about your career experience? I have a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Asset Management which is accredited by the RICS and started my career with an internship in property management then worked for a build-to-rent company as a lettings associate in Wembley and in Manchester. Tell me a little about your career experience? I’m an experienced lettings administrator with a background working in the real estate sector for some years now. I work hard to ensure communication between our lettings, management and accounts teams are efficient and pride myself on being organised and numerate. What do you like to do at the weekend? I love gadgets so I'll probably be playing with some of my favourites. I also love travelling, especially discovering new places. I like to cook and play football. I like variety.

If you could live anywhere in London, where would it be? I really like mansion blocks and period conversions so I would pick St Johns Wood or Hampstead as these are more villagey locations.

Where do you live? I am Malaysian Chinese and moved to the UK some years ago and at the moment, I live in Surrey, close to the river and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

What do you like most about Woolwich? Woolwich is well connected to both of London's financial hubs and the area has a good mix of modern architecture and carefully restored Grade II listed buildings. Royal Arsenal Riverside is a pivotal part of local life with commanding views of the Thames. It has a strong community spirit and is surrounded by great amenities so it’s a great place to live and to work.

What are your passions outside work? My true passion is cars and racing. Back in Malaysia I used to compete in the 12 hour Endurance Race in Sepang. I was also a team manager for the Bridgestone racing team. I also love getting out with the family at weekends.

Where do you currently live? I have lived here in Woolwich for the last 17 years.

What do you like most about working in the Woolwich area? Woolwich is home to a diverse community and has really been transformed with the introduction of Royal Arsenal Riverside. Connectivity with the rest of London is excellent with four main transport links into central London, Kent, Essex and the opposite side of the River. There’s a good mix of gastro pubs and restaurants along the riverside which adds variety to what is already a thriving modern urban neighbourhood.

Tell me a little about your property career? I began my property career in 2014 assisting with marketing and sales administration for an estate agent in nearby Charlton. I then moved into lettings and property management which I really enjoyed. I have lots of experience liaising with tenants and landlords throughout the renting process and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life so this role really suits me.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I am a mother to five wonderful sons and grandmother to two adorable boys, so my family keep me on my toes which I wouldn’t change! When I do have time, I like to read or go for a nice stroll with my dog.
