One of our clients purchased two apartments by the River Thames at Imperial Wharf in Fulham. Over the twenty two year period that followed and in conjunction with the advice provided by Benham and Reeves, this investment returned a consistent 5% per annum in rental income. Our lettings team managed to secure tenants with minimal voids and on each flat there was an average of just 2.1 days void per annum.

In 2002, we guided our Saudi Arabian client to buy two 3 bed apartments in the very first tower with direct river views for a purchase price of £875,000 per property. Being part of a regeneration of a brown field site yet with direct river views, we were certain of the capital gain potential as well as the strong rental demand being in the key location in ever-popular Fulham, ensuring consistent income for the landlord.

Our experienced sales team, based on site at Imperial Wharf, listed each property at £2.1m in the summer 2023 and agreed a price of £2,000,000 for each apartment resulting in a profit of £2,250,000 which is a gain of almost 130%. Adding the rental income after deduction of expenses over the 22 years the profit amounts to over 230%.
