Where to watch the fireworks in London

Remember, remember the fifth of November as we showcase the best of the spectacular Bonfire Night fireworks displays across the Capital. There’s plenty to look forward to as the London skyline is set ablaze in a riot of colour.

This classic centuries-old English tradition marks the historic failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and his group of conspirators hatched an audacious plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament and King James I. They were discovered on the eve of the Opening of Parliament and were eventually executed. Every year on the 5^th of November, on the anniversary of their arrest now popularly known as “Bonfire Night”, an  effigy of Guy Fawkes is set ablaze on bonfires across England to mark the unsuccessful assassination attempt of the King.
