What’s on in London- June 2024

Champions League Final (June 1)

Wembley is all set to host Europe’s biggest and most elite football game of the year as the Champions League final gets underway on the first Saturday of the month. Going in as the less fancied German underdogs, Dortmund take to their much-decorated Spanish opponents, Real Madrid, who have clinched the trophy for a record 14 times. Will the Madrid juggernaut continue to prevail, or is there a dreamy farewell awaiting Dortmund’s homeboy, Marco Reus?

What’s the highlight? Dortmund takes on Real Madrid in the Champions League final, with Marco Reus possibly saying a goodbye in a dreamy finale.

Sundance Film Festival (June 6-9)

The city will host the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, offering film buffs a chance to view some groundbreaking and emotion-stirring movies. The 2024 festival opens with the debut of “Kneecap,” the first-ever Irish-language film to premiere at Sundance. The final night of the event will showcase the first-ever screening of ‘Didi’ (弟弟)’, an Oscar-nominated film by the acclaimed director Sean Wang, paying homage to the experiences of young first-generation immigrants in the Bay Area. The ticket prices range from £75 for a festival pass to £500 for a VIP pass.

Marylebone Summer Festival (June 9)

This June, Paddington Street Gardens will mark the 20th anniversary of the Marylebone Summer Festival. Taste of London (June 13-15)

Book your time from 12 to 6 p.m.; the weekend is going to be full of creativity and enjoyment.

Capital FM Summertime Ball (June 16)

Wembley Stadium is all set to be electrified as Capital FM’s Summertime Ball brings in an impressive lineup of top-tier talent. This year’s lineup includes artists like RAYE, Aitch, Becky Hill, and the esteemed Grammy-winner Meghan Trainor. The Sugababes will revive the good old days with their classic hits, while Ella Henderson showcases her unique singer-songwriter style. Kew Midsummer Fete (June 22)
