Celebrity moves – November 2016

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It seems that London is set to remain a perennial favourite amongst celebrities whether it be because stiff upper-lipped Britons couldn’t care less or because stricter media laws grant them a greater degree of privacy. Despite their accessibility, some pockets of London remain firm favourites, so without further ado, we will fill you in on your newest celebrity neighbours.

Belieb it

Yes, the big news this month is that Justin Bieber, the teenage hearthrob with corrugated abs has rented a home on The Bishops Avenue, a.k.a. Millionaires’ Row, for an astounding £108,000 per month. The 15 bedroom, 13 bathroom, 24,000 square feet property sits on 2.5 acres of land and boasts a five car garage. He’s already been making friends in the area, by joining in on a game of football with local schoolchildren. If you’re the ultimate Belieber, you could move in to this apartment in Hampstead village for a much more affordable rental.

Gets our vote

The X Factor is back on our screens. Just in case you’re not eagerly watching each week to see if Honey G makes it through with her rendition of “Ice, Ice Baby”, the contestants have recently moved into a luxury mansion in Hadley Wood. According to the press, police have already been called in after reports of a drone swooping in on the property in an attempt to photograph the new residents. Hadley Wood seems to be a popular location for X Factor contestants as the property the series rented in 2014 is back on the market for £13,000 per month. If you fancy your own piece of North London living we have this, tasteful house in Highgate.

Thrilled to be here

Fans of Alfred Hitchcock’s famous thriller, The Lady Vanishes, will be pleased to learn that a two bedroom flat in Gainsborough Studios, Islington has come onto the market. The block is built on the studio site where the legendary filmmaker shot most of the movie. In homage to its past, the development features a sculpture of Hitchcock in the main courtyard. If the £900,000 asking price is a little rich for your blood, we have this one bedroom apartment for rental just around the corner.

Boat not a car?

Electropop star Gary Newman’s former boat is on the market for a mere £95,000. The 36 foot trawler is moored on a leisure license at Imperial Wharf and has a well-maintained 85 horsepower engine for cruising up the Thames. Newman has been living in Los Angeles for the past several years and apparently, this boat is one of the things he misses most about England. Landlubbers will be happy to hear that we are the appointed letting agent for the Imperial Wharf development and we have a number of apartments available for rental including this one.
