Benham & Reeves Residential Lettings continues its expansion across London with the opening of its 14th lettings branch on-site at the Marine Wharf property development in Surrey Quays, SE16.
The opening of the latest branch at Marine Wharf is part of an overall expansion plan spurred by tenant demand for onsite agents and property management at major developments. The office is located on the ground floor corner aspect of Cadmus House at Marine Wharf, an exciting new dockside development of 532 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments by Berkeley Homes.
The lettings specialist has been expanding strategically across London and in the past 12 months has also opened branches in other key locations such as Wapping and Fulham Reach,a luxe St George scheme in Hammersmith. The also company plans on opening its 15th branch in Kew in February. All of the new branches are on-site within key developments so as to better served tenants and landlords. However, the branches serve their neighbouring catchment areas and actively market properties in nearby developments as well as period properties in the respective areas.
Marine Wharf is a key part of the Surrey Wharves development area in South East London. The scheme by Berkeley Urban Renaissance has recently seen the launch of the final two phases of two-bedroom apartments. It boasts a 24 hour concierge service, residents gym and an onsite Tesco Express. The development is close to a number of transport links including Surrey Quays station, Canada Water station, served by both the Jubilee Line and the London Overground and Thames Clipper services from Greenland Pier. The site is also close to parks, shopping and local restaurants.
“We’re incredibly excited about this latest opening. The SE16 postcode has recently become a top 10 London location for tenants hence the decision to open a dedicated lettings office at Marine Wharf. Having branches on-site at key property schemes is part of our wider strategy to offer landlords and tenants an even better level of service,” comments Managing Director Anita Mehra, “As we don’t sell property, we’ve never lost sight of the fact that having first-hand knowledge of the rental market in areas where we operate is invaluable, particularly to our overseas landlords. Additionally, building good relationships are the bedrock of our business and getting to know our tenants personally is much easier when you are dealing with them on-site.”
