Between leafy Hampstead and edgy Camden, you’ll find Tufnell Park, a vibrant urban village that’s close to central London yet retains its own distinct character.

There are some architectural gems to find here. Tufnell Park Dome, built in 1896 as a public baths and laundry, is now a community hub hosting events and entertainment. Or discover St George’s Church, a neo-Gothic Grade II listed building renowned for its stunning stained-glass windows. You’ll find interesting and quirky independent shops, cafes, bakeries and restaurants, offering cuisines ranging from Sardinian to Ethiopian to pizzas and artisan ice-cream.

And Tufnell Park is known for its traditional pubs, whether you’re looking for good food, real ales, a roaring fire or a leafy pub garden where you can soak up the sun on a summer’s day. There’s a thriving arts and culture scene too - independent venues host live music, comedy and other performances, featuring up-and-coming talent as well as more established names.

Hampstead Heath and Waterlow Park are both a short walk away. And for families, there are a number of good schools to choose from. Hop on a Northern Line tube at Tufnell Park underground station and you can be in central London in around 15 minutes. Many of Tufnell Park’s streets are lined with traditional Victorian terraced properties. Most larger properties have been converted into stylish apartments but you might find an elegant, double-fronted house if you are looking for a larger family home.

Our Highgate estate agents can advise you on all aspects of living in Tufnell Park. Call us to discuss our latest properties for sale.

Where do you live? I've lived in Enfield for five years.

How long have you worked for Benham and Reeves? I joined the company in 2007, starting as a negotiator, moving onto Senior Negotiator and now Branch Manager. I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And something interesting about yourself? Not sure if this qualifies, but I love all kinds of sport!
Where do you live? I was born and raised in North London.

What do you like most about working in the Highgate & Knightsbridge areas? Both areas are upmarket and offer a lovely mix of period and modern architecture and although Knightsbridge is in central London, it enjoys similarities with Highgate, such as pretty open spaces, amenities and good schools. Both areas are also very family friendly.

Tell me something about your career? My career has previously had more of a marketing focus but I have broader property market experience working as a negotiator and an administrator, both of which help me in my role now.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I am a passionate football supporter and also have a keen interest in the arts, especially the ballet.

Where do you live? I currently live in Pinner, Middlesex which is an outer suburb of North West London.

What do you like most about the properties in North West London? On the basis of their architectural variety and historical interest alone, my favourite are Hampstead properties which are almost unmatched anywhere in London. The way in which charming period properties have been integrated with newer homes gives the neighbourhood plenty of choice and a great village feel. Close proximity to Hampstead Heath while, at the same time, being only 20 minutes away from the West End is another major plus point.

Tell us a little about your property career? Having been in the North London property business for nearly 35 years, I have had the advantage of working with, and alongside, many talented and respected individuals. My early years as a sales negotiator were spent in Mill Hill until I left to join Benham & Reeves Sales under its former owners. Now with the sales and lettings businesses under one roof and the ownership of Anita Mehra, it’s good to be resuming my Associate Director position and heading up the North London sales team.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? Being a passionate West Ham United supporter, I endeavour to attend every home match. I enjoy Bikram hot yoga, overseas travel and working on my (admittedly shaky) golf game. My wife and I love taking long country walks and being surrounded by nature.
Where do you live? I live in Winchmore Hill, North London.

What do you like most about the properties in North London? Each property tells a story, especially at High Street level where if you look upwards, you’ll see many period buildings which have retained their historical charm – I never tire of appreciating them. Here the streets are beautifully tree-lined and there is always an abundance of outside space nearby - including Hampstead Heath - which locals like me really appreciate.

Tell us a little about your property career? Ever since my graduate days I have enjoyed working in the London property sector. Over the years, I have gained most of my experience selling residential flats and houses, mainly in prestigious North London locations. I have sold to local families, first-time-buyers, royalty and celebrities and by far the most enjoyable part is recognising that I am handling valuable and cherished assets. I really like to get to know buyers and sellers, making sure they are well looked after throughout the buying or selling process.
What is your favourite part of London? Hammersmith – it’s one of the best places in West London for live music, riverside strolls and taking in the river views from a pub terrace along the way.

What key skills do you bring to your role? My strongest attribute is my determination. I take on every challenge head-on and do what I need to accomplish my goals, even when the challenge is difficult. I enjoy communicating with people and developing my soft skills.

What are your passions outside work for relaxation? I love dancing salsa! For me, it’s a great way of keeping fit and complements a healthy lifestyle, both physically and emotionally. Benefits include keeping me in a good mood which the sales team seem to appreciate!
Where do you currently live? I live in a quiet suburb of West London.

What do you like most about the area where you work? Hampstead is such a pretty place to work.  The village is very well served by all amenities as well as artisan eateries and pubs. The architecture is mainly period and of course the Heath provides plenty of green space to unwind and enjoy.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? Though recent to the real estate industry, my time spent working as an office administrator has allowed me to bring transferable skills to my role and Benhams. I’m organised and have good document management and IT skills and I’m also adaptable which is needed working alongside such a busy sales team.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I enjoy archery every weekend and sometimes I also participate in some club competitions. It really helps me mentally whilst providing a full body workout at the same time.
