Culture and the Arts are at the heart of Swiss Cottage’s community-led neighbourhood in North-West London. It’s the home of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and locally you’ll also find an 02 centre, the Hampstead Theatre, the Freud Museum and the Grade II listed Swiss Cottage Central Library. What do you like most about working in Hampstead as an area? Properties in Hampstead have a wealth of character and a distinctive charm, unlike anywhere else in London. I enjoy the quaint village lifestyle, while being so close to central London.
Tell me something about your career and what key skills you now bring to your role? Although I graduated from University as an Aerospace Engineer, I discovered my true calling when I did a stint as a Property Negotiator during my gap year. Since then I have gained good career experience working in the residential lettings sector for several years where I have developed a good understanding of the property sector and how it ticks.
What are your passions outside work? I am passionate about travel, health and fitness. I enjoy playing football and am a proud Manchester United fan!
What do you like most about working in Hampstead as an area? Properties in Hampstead have a wealth of character and a distinctive charm, unlike anywhere else in London. I enjoy the quaint village lifestyle, while being so close to central London.

What are your key skills and what do you like most about your role? I find that an organised approach and a forensic attention to detail are vital attributes in my job. It’s not uncommon for me to reinvestigate a document that has already been double or triple checked! My work also overlaps with many other parts of the company, so I get to work collaborate with other employees which I really enjoy.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes is a weekly passion. I also take plenty of opportunities to travel.

Where do you live? I currently live in Pinner, Middlesex which is an outer suburb of North West London.
What do you like most about the properties in North West London? On the basis of their architectural variety and historical interest alone, my favourite are Hampstead properties which are almost unmatched anywhere in London. The way in which charming period properties have been integrated with newer homes gives the neighbourhood plenty of choice and a great village feel. Close proximity to Hampstead Heath while, at the same time, being only 20 minutes away from the West End is another major plus point.

Having been in the North London property business for nearly 35 years, I have had the advantage of working with, and alongside, many talented and respected individuals. My early years as a sales negotiator were spent in Mill Hill until I left to join Benham & Reeves Sales under its former owners. What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? Being a passionate West Ham United supporter, I endeavour to attend every home match. I enjoy Bikram hot yoga, overseas travel and working on my (admittedly shaky) golf game. My wife and I love taking long country walks and being surrounded by nature.
