Deptford is a Zone 2 area known for its maritime heritage and vibrant community. Homebuyers and investors are drawn to Deptford’s ongoing regeneration projects and proximity to central London, and will find various property options here — including Victorian terraces and contemporary flats.

Deptford was home to the Royal Navy Dockyard in the 16th century. In recent years, it has undergone a significant transformation thanks to projects such as Marine Wharf and Convoys Wharf. Improved proximity to Surrey Quays, Canada Water, Canary Wharf and central London further added to its appeal.

Residents are surrounded by vibrant independent shops, cafes and restaurants at the restored railway arches at Deptford Market Yard. The Albany Theatre and the award-winning Laban Building host performances and events year-round. You can explore the local wildlife at the Creekside Discovery Centre.

Commuting from Deptford is very convenient. Deptford Station offers easy access to London Bridge. The DLR from Deptford Bridge is ideal for connections to Canary Wharf and the Bank. Previously with a corporate serviced apartment provider and then joined Benham & Reeves in 2003 as Manager of City office and then now also manage Canary Wharf office after we opened it in 2009. I am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification.

And an interesting fact about yourself? I found flats for Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd when they were in London filming - that was a pleasure!
Where in London do you live? I live in East London.

Tell me a little about your property career and interests? I previously worked as a travel agent for 10 years, enjoying travelling and discovering architecture along the way which ignited my interest in real estate. In my role now, I particularly enjoy working with applicants and helping them find homes they will love living in.

What do you like most about the City & Surrey Quays area? Working in both areas enables me to experience two distinct areas of London. The City has an energy that is fully active and the architecture is majestic and historic.
