Acton is a trendy area in West London, located in the Borough of Ealing and surrounded by attractive neighbourhoods such as Chiswick and White City. The town is known for its Oak Trees - from where it gets its name and famous English poets to whom many of its street names are dedicated.

Acton is primarily residential, offering a mix of property styles. From charming detached and semi-detached Edwardian homes on Lynton Road to brand-new apartment schemes along the Bollo Lane regeneration, homebuyers and investors have plenty of options.

Spread over 1,600 acres, the Old Oak and Park Royal Development is the UK's largest regeneration project, boosting property demand and pushing prices in Acton. This project will help transform the area into one of London's largest residential hubs, with over 25,000 new homes.

Future developments in Acton will be supported by the upcoming HS2 high-speed rail line that will significantly reduce travel time between Birmingham and London to under 50 minutes, further enhancing Acton's connectivity. With Acton Main Line Station on the Elizabeth Line, residents already benefit from quick commutes to central London and Canary Wharf.

The area's ongoing regeneration, with major transport and infrastructure upgrades, has significantly boosted housing demand in the area. Investors are taking advantage of this growth, with rental yields in the W3, W4 and W12 postcodes consitently rising.

With its prime location, varied housing options and promising future, Acton presents a fantastic opportunity for homebuyers and investors looking for strong returns. Where do you live? I've lived in Ealing all my life.

Tell us about your career? I've worked in lettings since I was 19 and am ARLA Propertymark qualified with the NAEA (NFOPP) qualification. I've been with Benham and Reeves since 2006 and was previously Manager of the Knightsbridge office. Before that I was a Negotiator at the Kensington office.

Tell us something interesting about yourself? I once spent a year travelling around SE Asia, Australasia, the USA and Mexico where I met some very interesting people and learnt a lot about different cultures, it was a great life experience.
Where do you currently live? I’m currently living in West London but I grew up in Berkshire and lived in Rotterdam during my University studies which was a great experience.

What do you like most about Ealing and surrounding area? I’ve worked in Ealing for a number of years and what I like most is how much greenery there is to enjoy. Sometimes it’s easy to forget you’re even living in London! It is a great place to both live and work, and I look forward to spending many more years here.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? I have been working in estate agency for over 5 years, it was my first job since coming back to England after my University education. I like to think of myself as a ‘Jack of all Trades’ because I’ve worked in lettings, sales, new homes and auction - all of which has broadened my knowledge of the industry, helping me develop good negotiator skills that achieve the best possible outcomes.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I love all kinds of sport. I have watched and played football my entire life, and I also enjoy boxing, MMA, rugby and athletics. If the weather is nice, you will find me enjoying my weekends with friends in a beer garden watching the footy!
